Open Letter to Our Readers: SDCP to Suspend Upcoming Print Issue

//

Dear friends of San Dimas Community Post:

Thank you for your readership, engagement and ongoing support.

As some of you may already know, Eric Nakano, owner/co-founder of the newspaper, has recently filed paperwork to run for San Dimas City Council. After discussing with other experts in the industry, we decided it was best to delay printing our next edition, scheduled for April 2022, in order to maintain the newspaper’s ethical integrity and reputation. Because we pride ourselves on limiting bias, we felt it necessary to take this step to ensure the community continues to trust our objectivity in reporting on city matters.

Maintaining the community’s trust is of the utmost importance in journalism. Because we want our readers to have confidence in the fair and balanced reporting by the San Dimas Community Post, we will pause printing until after the June election.

In the interim, we still plan to publish select, non-political stories online – so please stay tuned and follow us if you don’t already.

Best,

San Dimas Community Post
